El Kiosko in Houston is far more than just your average ice cream shop—it’s a vibrant celebration of authentic Mexican street flavors that tantalize the palate with every bite and sip. Nestled at 12108 Veterans Memorial Dr, this local gem masterfully blends traditional tastes with innovative twists that delight both the senses and the soul.
What truly sets El Kiosko apart is its extraordinary menu, brimming with colorful, bold, and refreshing options beyond typical ice cream offerings. Among the standout treats are the Chips Lokos, where you can select from Doritos, Conchitas, Hot Cheetos, Tostitos, or Takis, all heaped with refreshing jicama, crisp cucumber, tangy cueritos, zesty lime juice, crunchy peanuts, and the iconic Valentina sauce. This snack is a masterclass in texture and flavor contrast—a perfect balance of salty, spicy, and citrusy notes.
For a heartier bite, indulge in the warm and satisfying Burrito, filled with your choice of savory meats, beans, fresh lettuce, ripe tomatoes, creamy sour cream, and your choice of green or red hot sauce. The Chilindrinas elevate deep-fried chicharron de harina topped with beans, cueritos, cabbage, and avocado, finished off with a drizzle of Velentina—each bite bursting with layers of savory richness and slight tang.
And don't miss their seasonal special—the Quesadilla Pollo al Pastor. Gooey melted cheese perfectly marries with tender, marinated pollo al pastor in a golden flour tortilla, accompanied by fresh cilantro, chopped onions, and a spicy hot sauce that sings on your tongue. This dish captures the heart of Mexico’s street food with a comforting yet exciting flair.
Beyond food, El Kiosko offers an immersive sensory experience with its lively, approachable atmosphere. Longtime patron Shauntay Henderson gushes, “This is my place. I have been coming here since 2016, and I love it. Everyone is so nice. The food is amazing.” This warmth resonates throughout the shop, making every visit feel like catching up with friends over incredible flavors.
Health-conscious visitors will appreciate the fresh fruit-based treats and aguas frescas—vibrant, natural, and perfectly satisfying. Farhan celebrates the shop’s offerings as “not only delicious but also super refreshing and healthy,” while Danda X praises the spot as her go-to for healthy, saltable juices that kickstart the day with zest.
The dedication to quality extends even to the clean, well-maintained restrooms, as Kiki C. notes, reinforcing that El Kiosko’s commitment to customer comfort is just as strong as its culinary passion. Although the shop buzzes with popularity and sees steady foot traffic, a little patience ensures you’re rewarded with flavorful, freshly prepared snacks that keep patrons coming back time and again.
For anyone craving a delicious escape into the world of authentic Mexican street snacks and ice-cold, refreshing delights, El Kiosko is an unmissable destination. It is where tradition meets creativity, delivered with genuine warmth and a vibrant, community spirit that leaves a lasting impression.

LISTEN!!!! This is my place. I have been coming here since 2016, and I love it. Everyone is so nice. The food is amazing. I've had the nachos, the tortas, the bionicos, the ice cream, the aguas frescas, the licuados, etc. I am one of the biggest fans of El Kiosko. Ms. Sandra is so nice.

I’ve been coming here for a while. This place is less than a mile away from my house. It’s very popular and very busy most of the time I go to order. However if your patient, you’ll have fast and delicious snacks. Restrooms are clean and food is delcious. I myself had a trole (fruit and water based iced dessert) mangonada flavor with extra chamoy. Anyone who wrote a bad review had a bad day.
